adidas launched miTeam – customized team gear

adidas miTeam

adidas miTeam

this week adidas lauched miTeam, an online tool similar to miAdidas but for team gear. you can customize shirts, shorts and socks for the whole team using the colors you want to use. the application is pretty simple to understand and easy to handle.
I think adidas is entering a great market that is waiting for personalization for a long time. teams often have a hard time to find fitting gear in the right color. there is a great potential for customization and personalization in team-sport. and I am sure that Nike, Puma, Umbro, Kappa will follow soon.

future of computing 2/4: ubiquitous computing

we all want to know how computing will look like in future. i thought it would be interesting to post some videos about how researchers and organizations see the future of computing. enjoy video 2 of 4, Paul Saffo and Dr. Michio Kaku about ubiquitous computing.

in future we will use our computers in an ubiquitous-, maybe even pervasive way. in the attached video, Paul Saffo (Stanford University) and Dr. Michio Kaku give a great overview about ‘how computers might look like’, ‘how we will use them’ and ‘how they will change our day to day life’.

very interesting is the idea of “swallowing” a computer in form of a pill; that analyzes your body from the inside and shares the information with the computer on the outside. just imagine the possibilities for the health care sector.

some of the presented ideas are no longer fiction, they are already reality. RFID chips are implemented in our clothing as well as some clothes are able to feel and measure our pulse.
